Speed May be to Blame for 19-Year-Old’s Death in Nottingham Crash

April 8, 2011 - Baltimore County, MD - A Nottingham crash that occurred on the morning of March 30 has left a 19-year-old dead and a 53-year-old injured.

According to reports from wbaltv.com, Alfredas Josep Ortman, 19, was driving near the intersection of Franklin Square Drive and Castle Creek Circle when his car crossed to the other side of the road.

It was then a 53-year-old driver in another vehicle hit Ortman. The other driver, who was not identified, was taken to Bayview Hospital to be treated for injuries, which were not deemed life-threatening.

Baltimore County police said that Ortman was declared dead at the scene of the Nottingham crash. While investigations are ongoing, police said speed appeared to be a factor in the crash.

The article did not specify which driver appeared to have been speeding but police did say the 53-year-old driver will not face charges.
