Pedestrian Struck by Car, Killed in Dundalk

February 9, 2012 – Dundalk, Md. – A pedestrian sustained fatal injuries after being hit by a car on Tuesday night, February 7.

WBALTV reports that the accident happened just after 8:30 p.m. on North Point Road where it runs into Belmont Road. According to police, the pedestrian was standing in the northbound lanes at the intersection when he was struck by an oncoming vehicle.

The pedestrian, 43-year-old Stanley Alexander Lachowicz, was rushed to Johns Hopkins Bayview Hospital right away after the accident top receive medical attention. He was later declared dead in the hospital.

The identity of the driver of the car that hit Lachowicz has not yet been released to the public.

No charges have yet been filed in connection with this accident. Preliminary investigations have led officials to believe that Lachowicz was at fault. The case is being reviewed by the state’s attorney’s office.
