September 8, 2011 - Crownsville, Md. - A pedestrian was seriously injured in a hit and run accident in Crownsville Friday, September 2.
WBALTV reports that the accident happened just before 5 a.m. on the 900 block of Generals Highway. A man was walking southbound on the northbound shoulder of the highway when he was struck by an oncoming car.
Anne Arundel County police arrived on the scene to find the man in the front yard of a residence near the road. The man had crawled to the residence and someone finally found him there.
The injured man was immediately sent to Shock Trauma. He said to have suffered serious leg injuries. His injuries are believed to be non life-threatening.
The driver of the vehicle that struck the man hasn't been found. The man said that the car that hit him may have been yellow, but further information about the vehicle could not be found.
The accident is under ongoing investigation by Anne Arundel County Police.
