May 27, 2011 - Baltimore, Md. - Eight people were injured on Saturday when three vehicles collided in West Baltimore. According to a report at ABC 2 News, at least some of the victims suffered life-threatening injuries in the crash in West Baltimore, which took place around 11 p.m. on Saturday.
Police are still investigating to determine how this accident occurred, but initial reports indicate that three cars collided at the intersection of Poplar Grove Street and Edmondson Avenue in Baltimore.
Authorities are not sure which driver was at fault and investigations will continue. In total, 8 people were injured in the crash, and at least two of those victims were taken to local hospitals in critical condition.
The other 6 victims were less severely injured, although they still required hospital treatment. The names and ages of the victims have not been released.
At least some of the victims were trapped in the wreckage, and first responders spent a good amount of time extricating the passengers from their vehicles. The conditions of the victims are unknown at this time. The investigation is ongoing, and more information will be added if and when it becomes available.
