September 20, 2011 - Baltimore County, Md. - A man was fatally injured on Saturday, September 17, as a result of a single-vehicle car accident.
A news story from The Baltimore Sun reports that the accident happened at about 8:30 a.m. on Interstate 83, south of Ruxton Road. Officials said that 47-year-old Calvin Brown, of Baltimore, was driving northbound on the interstate when he lost control of his vehicle. The vehicle ran off of the pavement and flipped over.
Brown was fatally injured in the accident and he was confirmed dead by authorities at the scene of the crash.
Brown's vehicle was the only one in connection to this accident and no other injuries were reported from anyone surrounding the area of the incident.
The northbound lanes of Interstate 83 were shut down from traffic for over an hour following the accident. The reason behind the cause of the accident remains undetermined.
