November 16, 2011 - Baltimore County, Md. - A man was killed in a single-vehicle car accident on Tuesday, November 15.
The Baltimore Sun reports that the accident happened at about 6 a.m. on the ramp leading from the beltway to northbound I-795. Officials said that Lemuel E. Johnson, 56, was driving his 4-door Toyota on the roadway when he evidently lost control of the vehicle.
The Toyota then went through or over a nearby guardrail and down an embankment. It rolled over before crashing into a tree.
Johnson was killed in the accident. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Johnson's vehicle was the only one involved in the accident and there were no other people in the vehicle when it crashed. No further injuries or fatalities have been reported.
Traffic near the accident was blocked for over an hour to clear the scene. The accident remains under the stage of investigation by local authorities.
