December 6, 2011 – Harford County, Md. – A man suffered fatal injuries while 2 more people were injured after 2 vehicles collided head-on during the morning of Sunday, December 4.
The Baltimore Sun reports that the incident occurred on Route 23, just east of Harford Creamery Road, when 2 vehicles were involved in a head-on collision on the road. Officials said that it appears that one of the vehicles crossed the center line and went into the path of the second vehicle. It’s not clear which of the vehicles was at fault.
Donald Van Gosen, 41, suffered fatal wounds in the accident and was declared dead on the scene.
The second vehicles occupants, a 22-year-old man and 21-year-old woman, were injured in the crash. Both were transported toYork Hospital for treatment. They are said to have suffered non life-threatening injuries.
Trooper Q. Dobbins confirmed that adverse weather conditions weren’t a factor in the crash, though fog was thick at the time of the accident. The accident is under ongoing investigation.
