June 3, 2011 - Baltimore, Md. - Three people were involved in a truck accident outside Baltimore that left at least one person with fatal personal injuries. According to a report at the Baltimore Sun, the accident occurred shortly before noon on Wednesday.
Police are still investigating what caused this accident, but initial reports indicate that a work truck was driving on Meadowcroft Lane in Lutherville-Timonium when the driver lost control of the vehicle. The truck drove off the road, crashed into a fence and struck a tree before coming to a stop near the intersection with Dulaney Valley Road.
There were three people in the truck, although none of the victims have been identified. One of the occupants was transported in critical condition to Sinai Hospital, where he died later that evening. The other victims were hospitalized at Maryland Shock Trauma Center with serious personal injuries. Their conditions are currently unknown.
Police are still unsure what caused the driver to lose control of the truck, and they have not determined if speed played a role in this deadly truck accident. It does not appear that any other vehicles were involved. The investigation is ongoing.
