Three ambulances were called to the scene, and found an officer trapped inside the wreckage. First responders were able to extricate him and sent him for treatment at a local hospital.
It's unknown how many people were impacted by this accident or the extent of their injuries. The identities of those involved have not been released. However, according to ABC 2 News, at least one fire department employee was injured in the accident, although he or she is expected to survive. The investigation is ongoing.
