Almost 2 Years Later, Guilty Ruling in Baltimore County Street Racing Deaths

Posted on Apr 12, 2011

April 8, 2011 - Towson, MD - On June 21, 2009, Donneil Raeburn ran down and killed 2 people watching an illegal Baltimore County street race. According to reports from wbaltv.com, nearly 2 years later, Raeburn was found guilty on April 1, 2011 of manslaughter by motor vehicle, reckless driving and DUI.

Raeburn's victims include 20-year-old Jonathan Henderson and 21-year-old Mary-Kathryn Abernathy, who both died immediately. A third victim, Paul Duffy, survived the accident and testified in the case. According to the article, the crash occurred near Interstate 695, where it meets westbound Interstate 70.

Nearly 2 hours after the immediate Baltimore County street racing deaths, Raeburn's blood alcohol content was .22, almost 3 times the legal limit, Maryland's chief of toxicology testified March 31. Raeburn, who was not even part of the illegal street race, is being held without bail. His sentencing date has not been scheduled as of yet.
