4 Injured, Including Child, in 2-Vehicle Car Accident in Annapolis

January 12, 2012 – Annapolis, Md. – A 2-vehicle car accident in anAnnapolis intersection sent 4 people, including a 12-year-old girl who was critically injured, to the hospital on Monday, January 9.

A report from WBALTV states that the incident occurred at about 7:15 p.m. on Bestgate Road, near the Route 50 on-ramp. According to investigators, a Chevrolet pickup truck was travelling southbound on Bestgate Road when a van pulled into the intersection against a red light. The truck crashed into the van’s passenger side.

A 12-year-old girl in the van was critically injured in the accident. She was taken to Johns Hopkins Children’s Center for treatment. The driver of the van, Jill Shores, 43, incurred minor injuries.

The driver of the pickup truck, Kurt Fisher, 26, and his passenger, Allison Fisher, 23, were also injured in the accident. Kurt Fisher was transported to Anne Arundel Medical Center to be treated for minor injuries. Allison Fisher had to be taken to Shock Trauma. She is said to be in stable condition.

Whether or not anyone will be charged in connection with this car accident remains to be determined.
