July 18, 2011 - Baltimore, Md. - Two cyclists were injured Thursday, in 2 separate hit and run accidents, near Baltimore. According to a report at HometownAnnapolis.com, the drivers who caused these serious accidents have not been apprehended.
Police say the first accident occurred shortly after 7:30 a.m. A 41-year-old man, from Glen Burnie, was hit by a gray sedan while he was riding on Crain Highway. The driver fled the scene, although witnesses were able to describe him as a bearded white man. The victim is currently in critical condition at Maryland Shock Trauma Center.
The second cyclist was injured at approximately 8 a.m. while he was riding in Brooklyn Park. The victim, a 25-year-old man, was attempting to cross Ritchie Highway when he was hit by a dark-colored sedan. Police say the driver was a woman who stopped briefly before driving away.
Both victims are receiving treatment for serious injuries at Maryland Shock Trauma Center. Both cars should have visible damage to their front ends, including broken headlights and damaged fenders.
